North Island

Departing Victoria

Considered even more rugged and remote than the west coast, Northern Vancouver Island is a true, rugged outdoorsman’s destination.

Great fishing and hiking await, as well as sharp beauty that contrasts with the rolling hills and warmth of central Vancouver Island.

Northern Vancouver Island is one of the top destinations for whale watching thanks to a large population of resident orca (killer) whales.

It’s also a fantastic bear watching destination, as Knight Inlet, home to a number of Grizzly Bears, is just a hop away.
